Laura Zenzerovich
Senior Associate

Laura is a commercial litigator who works on complex disputes through all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, witness examination at trial, and post-trial advocacy. She has litigated and arbitrated a variety of high stakes matters involving significant discovery and nuanced legal issues such as those involving business torts, contracts, trade secrecy, securities, and products liability.  

Before joining Massey & Gail, Laura was an associate at Latham & Watkins, where she focused on multidistrict litigation, white collar investigations, and pro bono work representing individuals seeking asylum in immigration court. Laura earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where she served as a notes editor for the Duke Law Journal. She was also a student advocate in the Children’s Law Clinic, representing grade school children and their families in securing special education services.

  • Oversaw discovery and mediation efforts for cryptocurrency company Coinme in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, involving breach of contract and tortious interference claims against a business partner; secured a favorable settlement.
  • Managed witness preparation and expert testimony for a publicly traded online gaming and sports betting company in a nearly $10 million international contract arbitration before the International Arbitration Tribunal in Illinois arising from a business partner dispute; secured a favorable defense award following an eight-day evidentiary hearing.
  • Contributed to mediation strategy and settlement efforts for a family-owned construction company before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution in Illinois involving a contract payment dispute; secured a favorable negotiated resolution through mediation.
  • Represented a consumer financing company in a multi-forum dispute arising from the collapse of a vehicle service contract administrator; secured summary adjudication in arbitration, awarding more than $40 million in damages and interest.
  • Advised a professional sports league in confidential antitrust matters.
