Morgan is a commercial litigator with experience in a variety of commercial litigation matters.

Before joining Massey & Gail, she practiced as an attorney at Alson & Bird in New York. Morgan graduated from New York University School of Law, where she was involved in the International Refugee Assistance Program and The Journal of Law and Social Change. Additionally, she completed legal internships with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and Queens Legal Aid Clinic in the housing subdivision

  • Represented an insurance company in a reinsurance dispute over assets in a collateral trust. Coordinated all trial logistics and managed all exhibits. Case was decided favorably for our client, ruling the other party must release billions of dollars from the trust.

  • Defended a bank as administrative agent to a trust siding with Plaintiffs for claims of fraud and misuse of trust assets against the servicer and related parties. Managed trial logistics, drafted excerpts of statement of proof, and participated in cross examination preparation.

  • Defended breach of contract dispute over a real estate investment in the Bahamas. Managed expedited discovery and document production, drafted excerpts of pretrial brief, drafted direct and cross examination outlines, and led settlement compliance. Case settled two days before trial, in which all claims were dropped against Defendants and secured for Defendants a generous buyout from the jointly owned limited liability company.

  • Represented private equity Defendants in a multi-jurisdictional civil RICO action for millions of dollars in damages pertaining to diabetes test strip sales between manufacturers, wholesalers, pharmacy benefit managers, and pharmacies. Drafted offensive and defensive deposition outlines, other discovery motions including motions to compel, and subpoenas and subpoena responses.

  • Defended an international carrier against alleged cargo handling violations. After conducting years of discovery, drafted comprehensive white paper and presented reverse proffer to the government which led to a declination of prosecution.
